I'm Jason Ortitay, and I have the honor and privilege of serving you as your State Representative for the 46th District.

I grew up in the small town of Avella in Washington County. My mom and dad were hard workers; my mom worked three jobs at once to help our family make ends meet and my dad was a blue collar worker in the water and steel industries. My parents taught me the value of hard work, and because of them, I was able to become a first-generation college student, earning a B.A. from Robert Morris University and an MBA from Stetson University, all by the age of 21.

Once out of school, I worked at PNC Bank in retail and treasury management. It was always my dream to follow in my grandparents' footsteps, Italian immigrants who moved to the United States and yearned to start their own business, fulfilling their own American dream. With their legacy in mind, eight years ago, I started Jason's Cheesecake Company, which is operated out of my grandfather's old converted gas station. Through my business, I have sought to help schools and nonprofits raise money. To date, Jason's Cheesecake Company has helped raise over $100k for charities and organizations in our community.

While I love the work my company does within the community, I wanted to serve the people of our region in an additional capacity. I decided in 2014 to run for State Representative. In an historic victory, I was elected, and since taking office, I have helped bring over $100 million in road and infrastructure improvements, solved major problems in our townships, boroughs and school districts, resolved flooding issues, brought business development and family sustaining jobs to our area, and added over a billion dollars in education funding.

Along the way, I met my strong and supportive wife, Amanda - got married, and now live in Cecil Township, a place we are happy to call home. We have two cats, Moxie and Creek and we are also excited to announce we are expecting our first child in December!

I'm just a kid from a small town, right here in Western Pennsylvania, who wants to bring the American dream back to our region. And I know, with your help, we can make this goal a reality.

We've come a long way, but there's still a long road ahead. Please consider making a donation to our campaign. Thank you!
